
Marcello Trinchero
Natural Trumpet, Conducting and Music Direction
Marcello Trinchero, born in 1995, began his musical studies at a young age under the guidance of Maestro Alberto Mandarini. In 2015, he entered the Renaissance and Baroque trumpet class of Gabriele Cassone at the "G.Cantelli" Conservatory of Novara, graduating first in 2018 (Level I) and then in 2020 (Level II), both times with top honors and distinction. He has attended courses and masterclasses with Alfredo Bernardini, Corrado Colliard, Igino Conforzi, Ermes Giussani, Fruzsina Hara, Andreas Lackner, Jean-François Madeuf, Luca Marzana, Evangelina Mascardi, Jonathan Pia, and Edward H. Tarr.
He has collaborated with numerous theaters, as well as radio, recording, and television entities, including Rai 1, Rai Sport, Rai Radio 3, NPO Radio4, Euro Radio, Sky Classica, and Mezzo, symphony orchestras, and early music ensembles, among which LaVerdi, LaBarocca, Montis Regalis, Ensemble Zefiro, Collegio Ghislieri, Les Ambassadeurs ~ La Grande Écurie, and "gli Originali", with which he regularly participates in numerous festivals and concerts in major European cities, under the baton of the most important masters in the field such as Giovanni Antonini, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Alfredo Bernardini, Alexis Kossenko, Stefano Montanari, and George Petrou. In 2018, he was assigned the position of principal trumpet with the Theresia Orchestra, which gathers young talents from around the world specializing in ancient instruments and historically informed performances. In 2022, he founded I CONTRAPPUNTISTI, an ensemble specialized in the rediscovery of unpublished pages of the Baroque period and their modern performances on historical instruments. In 2023, he published Antonio Lucio Vivaldi: Complete Trumpet Repertoire, the first comprehensive musicological publication on the trumpet production of the Red Priest. He is also active as a conductor, composer, teacher, and arranger; some of his arrangements for trumpet and orchestra have been used by Gabriele Cassone.
